Leave Management. I participated in filling and processing of the leave forms of the organization’s employees which is given to all civil servants that is to say U1 is given 32 working days, U3 is given 30 working days, U8 is given 24 working days, Maternity leave is given 60 working and then Maternity leave and Annual is given 90 working days.
Payroll Management. I also carried out validating and approving payments which was done under supervision. This was done after posting the right payment transactions into the Ultra works a bespoke tailor made system for the organizations. After approving, a report for payments made was done and given to the director finance.
Filing of documents (Record Keeping) This also happens every day since documents keep coming in and leaving the office. The filing ensures that documents are kept well for future references, auditing, source of information and it is part of the Human Resource process. Documents are filed differently according to their categories for example the Life Certificate forms, Pension forms filed in different files of corresponding months. They are filled in the ascending order from the lowest or numbers to the highest voucher number.
Communication with the clients of the officeI welcomed Client and attended to them incase my Supervisor was busy. I guided them on some information that they needed to fill their forms and I directed them to the required offices.
Computing of PAYE with the work supervisor.I computed pay as you earn to be deducted on the staff Members Kumi District Local Government. This was done by adding up both salary and allowances and then applying the individual tax rates on the total earnings that is to say salary and emoluments (allowances).
Supervision Levels and Relationship with Supervisor.The officers in the offices where I executed my duties were so welcoming and loving. They always welcomed me whenever I went to their offices and gave me advice that was both academic and real-life advice. These people could criticize me for my mistakes and this helped me to learn by my mistakes by taking corrections. The officers in the Human Resource and Administration department were parents in nature and they made sure that I was always helped accordingly by giving me tasks to do daily to keep me busy. They were supportive and encouraged me to ask as many questions as I could about the subject of Human Resource and Administration management in order to enhance my learning experience. I had to accord these officers with due respect because each one of them was my immediate supervisor and was tasked to assess my performance mainly in terms of dressing, behavior and attitude towards work.
