EPFL - BBP
Scientific collaborator
February 2022 - January 2024
Briefly: medical devices, electrophysiology, biophysics, pharmacology, in-vitro, in-vivo, microscopy, anatomy, molecular biology, project management, R and Matlab statistics, R&D. I am carrying out scientific projects regarding Multi-clamp electrophysiology in the field of neuromodulation of acetylcholine. Therefore, I am providing results for the Blue Brain Project (BBP) which data updates affect the brain cortical microcircuits and promote an insight for a better understanding. Moreover, I am taking part in side projects which are cell culture and ion channel related.
Istitute of Experimental Medicine
Senior Research Fellow/Research Assistant
January 2018 - November 2021
Senior Research Fellow (2020-2021): Basically, I consider it as a continue work of my Research Assistant position (2018-2020), however, I was promoted as a project manager with taking the responsibility of my projects and besides, I was regulating coworker`s projects as well. Research Assistant (2018-2021): Hungarian Academy of Sciences - Institute of Experimental Medicine, Integrative Neuroendocrinology. Research topic and PhD title: Study of the role of ascending glycinerg input a hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis and energy balance regulation. Electrophysiological study of the regulation of TRH neurons located in the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of the hypothalamus in mice. Applied methods:
- Electrophysiology: Patch-clamp in single cell mode in mouse in vitro slice models. Working with hyothalamic TRH neurons, tanycytes.
- Confocal microscopy
- Pharmacological tests
- Immunocytology
- Stereotactic surgery
- Other: ordering materials and equipment, basic maintenance and repair.
University of Szeged
Research Assistant
July 2014 - November 2017
I've started my PhD here. My research topic was: Molecular and functional markers of cortical interneuron types: combined electrophysiology, imaging, and single-cell digital PCR in vitro and in vivo. Applied methods:
- Electrophysiology: Patch-clamp in single-dual-triplet cell modes in rat, mouse, human in vitro slice models. Worked with CNS pyramidal cells, axo-axonic cells, neurogliaform cells, basket cells, glias, new human interneuron cells - rosehip cells.
- Cell harvesting
- Pharmacological tests
- Immunocytology, genotyping and immunhistochemistry
- PCR
- Other: teaching, ordering materials and equipment, basic maintenance and repair.
