I am a dedicated person with 6 years of trainings and experiences working with children, youth, and adults in Kakuma Refugees Camp. I have received trainings in the refugee camp as part of my personal and professional development and I pursued my Bachelor degree (BA) in Art Management concentrating in Logistic management and Operations at Southern New Hampshire University. I am hard-working, passionate about quality work, work under minimum supervision, and dedicated to my duties and the wellbeing of my fellow refugee communities.

Serve as the day-day direct contact person for the OSUN Hubs students in Kakuam Camp. Assist on new students’ enrollment into the program. Coordinate with OSUN faculties to ensure smooth connections with the students. Attend monthly faculty meetings, participate in all faculty development sessions and attend weekly check-in meetings with OSUN Hubs professors and managements. Provide weekly written updates to the OSUN Hubs program Assistant on all the students. Meeting regularly with the Program manager to discuss challenges and success of students. Document classes and group work by taking photos and share them with the hubs. Promote stimulating classroom experiences during and between synchronous class sessions. Organizing workshops to assist students on the use of learning platforms. Support the students in completing their assignments and group work. Provide technological support to students whenever required. Offer twice weekly open office hours, which students can come for extra help. Identify cases to refer to psychological support and follow up to ensure effectiveness. Work close with finance officer to support in the student transportation and reimbursements. Confirm, compiled, and signed students attendance sheet and share with project manager at end of every week.

Provided business skills for youth in Kakuma to start their own business. Supervised small business groups (phone repair, hairdressing, and baking) on their growth. Served as the day-day direct contact person for the Skill 4 Live (S4L) groups. Reported the team progress to the Swisscontact manager. Solved some issues raised among the business groups.

Identified children in the Kakuma Refugee Camp community who are mentally or physically challenged such as children with Down Syndrome ADHD, Autism etc. Counselled families on available support and connect families with care services Made referrals for severe conditions to physiotherapy and hospitals (clinics). Led children through physical therapy exercises and activities at an occupational therapy lab Coached children and adults on the use of mobility aids Assessed children and adults with conditions in such as ADHD, Autism. Did community outreach to entice the community to their children with disability to school? Advocated for inclusion and protections for persons with disabilities in Kakuma.
