I am a seasoned, financial and management accountant, tax management and business development consultant with over seven (8) years of experience with a background in Bachelor of commerce (accounting major), CPA, business management, cloud accounting, audit and Pursuing a Masters in tax Administration. I am passionate about proper and articulate financial and managerial accounting practices, sound tax planning and management strategies through which, an organization gets solutions to a diverse range of accounting and taxation needs. I have facilitated as a registered Kenya revenue authority (KRA) tax agent numerous tax dispute resolutions and compliance issues, through fostering relationships and understanding the organization’s unique needs and business process, to amicably arrive at solutions and terms of engagement that are favorable to requisite parties. I have similarly purposed and succeeded in training key personnel in organizations, on importance of proper record keeping, and adopting good accounting practices, which reduces and, in most cases, guarantees non-exposure to compliance issues and subsequent litigation, arising from non- compliance. My guiding principle is safeguarding an organization’s investment and its stakeholders’ interests, through proper accounting, tax management and business practices.

Duties and Responsibilities • Tax controversy management and solutions for assessments and demand notices from the revenue authority. • Tax Health Checks to ascertain the taxpayer’s current compliance position and avoid litigation. • Preparation and Filing of all statutory returns i.e., corporate tax, digital service taxes, Vat, rent income tax, withholding tax, installment tax and employment taxes. • Specialized tax services for private individuals • Management of global employee and employer mobility for multinationals, including specialized employment tax and statutory deductions management. • International Tax Compliance and advisory on requisite double tax agreement plans, and resultant direct and indirect taxes. • Direct international tax management including advising clients on practical tax planning solutions to help manage and save on tax within the set-out tax laws. • Tax planning and structuring for businesses operating in different tax jurisdictions. • KRA audit support services. • Tax training for corporates and private individuals • Reviewing and ensuring the adequacy, design and effectiveness of the internal control systems for organizations and making recommendations for improvement. • Accounting system set up and training. • Book- keeping • Pay roll management and administration. • Inventory management and audit. • Financial management and reporting. • Internal controls design and implementation. • Budget preparation, implementation and monitoring. • Specialized accounting services for private individuals. • Ensuring compliance with company policies, processes, procedures and regulations. • Completing assigned tasks on a timely, accurate and ensuring that audit findings are adequately documented and recommendations are promptly communicated to the management. • Undertaking investigative audits as requested on fraud, embezzlement, theft, wastage, and provide remedial measures. • Participating and executing various Audit assignment per the Internal Audit Plan through the collection of audit evidence like, spot cash counts, spot review of Cash/Till reconciliations, sample stock counts and supply chain inspection and review. • Identifying Loopholes and assist in making recommendations on risk aversion measures. • Providing support to the external auditors during audit fieldwork to address any delays in the process. • Implementation of internal and external audit recommendations • Performed compliance checks specific to statutory requirements like; PAYE, NHIF and NSSF, Housing Development Fund, Pension, Installment and final Tax payment, WHT, Compliance with Employment Act, Filing of company and corporate Tax returns.
