In this project, solar energy will be adopted as the main source for designing a complete system for a typical rural house in to deliver the power needed as a standalone status. In the designing process, important factors will be taken into consideration such as the variation of irradiance in the geographical location, climate condition, and load consumption. The system consists of PV arrays, batteries, a charge controller, and an inverter to supply AC loads. Array sizing and the number of batteries needed will be set in accordance with the average load demand and the solar radiation in summer and winter.
