**Dr. Raja Al Gurg is the Chairperson, Managing Director and Member of the Board of Directors of the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group.** 

The Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group is a family business comprised of 27 entities with interests in consumer industries, real estate, building & construction, retail, and joint ventures. Dr. Raja joined the Group in 1989 as a Member of the Board of Directors. 

Under the tutelage of her father, H.E. Easa Saleh Al Gurg, KCVO, CBE, Dr. Raja has carved a unique niche for herself in the region due to her support and encouragement of Arab women entrepreneurs. She has also been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and honours, including ranking second on Forbes'  ‘The Middle East's Most Powerful Businesswomen’ list in 2023. 

She has commented: *"At first I never thought I wanted to go into business. But when I took a role in my father's company, I had to prove that I could be successful regardless of the fact that I am a woman, or chosen by my father. It is crucial that all women push their own boundaries, and that they have the will to succeed."*

Dr Al Gurg is also a published author. Her biography was the first of its kind by an Emirati businesswoman, which gained widespread acclaim and recognition.  Her second book ('The Power of Authenticity: Three Principles of Leadership') is a candid account of the obstacles and triumphs that this well-respected UAE business leader faced on her path to becoming one of the most influential businesswomen in the Arab world.
