Description
- To ensure through the different quality controls implemented in all the processes that lead to loading, the integrity and validity of the information resulting from the production systems in the TAM, Digital and Streaming operations.
- Responsible for performing data analyses for deeper understanding of panelist behavior, creating required regular quality control reports, monitors and analyzing metrics and KPIs for Nielsen’s Television Audience Measurement products. QC Analyst also makes recommendations related to data quality or measurement enhancement.
- A focus on the health of the panel in order to forecast and determine the recruitment, establishment survey, and demographic balance needs of the sample. Responsible for providing reports to management on team performance and main KPI indicators
- Collaboration with the team and internal client communication, including local country staff and cross-functional production departments, and the Operations Manager to ensure accurate classification of digital data.
Core Responsibilities
- Working with different tools to collect data
- combine datasets from different sources in order to identify quality gap/outliers in the data
- Review KPI and quality reports on an on-going basis. Anticipate defects and inefficiencies and formulate corrective actions (in collaboration with KPI / governance leadership).
- Liaise with regional operations center, helpdesk and field management to ensure quality control priorities are set and executed by appropriate parties.
- Investigate, trouble-shoot, and analyze operational issues to uncover root causes and recommend new best practice solutions for long-term impact
- Coordination of panel updates (e.g. characteristic updates).
- Validation and monitoring of production alerts / verifications Zabbix, MediaWorks, and Audio references from global countries 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and timely escalation to each country in order to avoid impacts on data releasable to customers.
- Daily Quality Control prior to the Release of the Streaming data for multiple countries, providing end-to-end monitoring
Classification
- Be the go to person for any quality related issue for any classification products
- Support and help train the junior team members
- Proactively identify potential risks to the data quality
- Investigate and solve data and classification related questions from reporting teams/commercial teams
- Day to day classifying of Web domains/ Mobile Apps/ Streaming domains for multiple digital classification products
- Understand report production-related data classification processes to support the individual products including QA
- Assist in the production flows and regulate all necessary production tasks with reporting cycles
Position Requirements / Competencies
- University graduate, studies in statistics, math, sociology, or economy are a plus
- Analytical, critical thinking and ability to work well with data
- Meticulous attention to details: Ability to pay attention to the details and ensure the quality of the output
- 6 months to 2 years working experience, preferably in operations roles
- Data analysis experience within one or more industries: market research, finance, insurance or equivalent
- A solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques used in a market research environment
- Ability to operate effectively with high energy and flexibility in a quality, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment
- Great English skills for international communications
- A fast, continuous learner
- Strong Excel and/or Google sheet skills, which includes formulas, pivot tables, visualization
- Proficiency in Office suites (ie. MS Office, Google tools)
- Ability to operate effectively with high energy and flexibility in a quality, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment
- Result oriented with aptitude for continuous process improvements
- Team player skills: ability to build and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with other departments; and/or participates in effective and high performance cross-functional teams
- Ability to train, support, coach, and motivate others
- Experience of a matrix management environment and remote reporting relationships
- Understanding of web domains, mobile apps, and streaming data would be an advantage
- Working hours will be Monday to Friday from 630am - 330pm IST OR 10am - 7pm IST; depending on the business need. 24/7 rotational shift
- Knowledge/experience with sql, python, data visualization, excel/gsheet scripts will be strong advantage
