Bushra Dabbagh

"Bushra Dabbagh pursued a post-graduate research degree at Harvard Medical School in Boston in cancer biology. Dabbagh also pursued a Master of Science in Biotechnology and Enterprise from Northeastern University in Boston. She is the founder of “Eelitna”, a foundation that provides psychological and educational support for Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in Aleppo, Syria through which she developed educational catch-up classes for children and youth. She also founded “She CANdles” manufacturer in which she trains young Syrian females to produce and sell handmade scented candles. Bushra is a “she entrepreneurs” alumni at the Swedish Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, and an alumni at Model United Nations MUN in Budapest, Hungary. She is currently founding “She Learns”, an online platform that aims to create a network of experts that believe in the values of gender equality in education to provide females with online courses while also networking with scholarship providers. She was recognized by the European Commission as a young leader and participated in the European Development Days 2018 in a panel with key opinion leaders to end gender-based violence. She is an active member of "Women in Science and Engineering-WISE". Recently, she founded "Biotechnology بالعربي " the first Biotech YouTube channel in Arabic. Moreover, she is took a part in clinical-stage drugs to fight a wide range of cancers."
