The German-Jordanian University (GJU) is a public university located in Mushaqar. It was founded in 2005 in accordance with a memorandum of understanding  reached between Jordan and Germany. GJU was modeled on the German applied-sciences model, characterized by their focus on putting knowledge into practice and on promoting knowledge transfer. The University is intended to serve as a unique university of applied training, experiential learning, and professional excellence, oriented towards market and industry needs.

The PDI is designed to benefit U.S. host companies and Kuwaiti graduates of U.S. universities.  It is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) opportunity for U.S. companies to support education and cross-cultural exchange with the purpose of establishing stronger commercial relations between the United States and the State of Kuwait.  U.S. companies tap into highly motivated Kuwaiti graduates who bring the latest academic knowledge, specialized training, and international experience.

The MIT Refugee Action Hub designs and deploys new learning opportunities for displaced populations around the world. Programs include a certificate in Computer and Data Science, and a new collaboration with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) around the MITx MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Development Policy (DEDP).
