**About Joel Carboni:**

A leading figure on sustainable project management. Dr. Carboni is a graduate of Ball State University and holds a Ph.D. in Sustainable Development and Environment. He is the founder of Green Project Management (GPM Global) and is the President of IPMA-USA. 

He has over 20 years’ experience in portfolio, program and program management working in Municipal Government, Big Five Consulting, Banking, and Higher Education.

As an author and an actor on the **international sustainable development movement** he is the **GPM Global representative to the United Nations Global Compact**, a **founding signatory of the UN’s Business for Peace Initiative**, signatory to the call to action on Anti-Corruption, Caring for Climate, and one of only fourteen listed supporting organizations of the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education Initiative (PRME). 

He is a frequent speaker at project management and sustainability symposiums, congresses, and conferences all over the world.

**About Ayshka Najib:**

Ayshka Najib (she/her) is a climate justice activist and organizer based in the UAE. Her work focuses on ensuring the leadership and meaningful participation of those at the frontlines of the crisis and this is reflected in her advocacy with Fridays For Future MAPA (Most Affected People and Areas).
**Ayshka is one of the UNICEF Youth Advocates to the UAE**, supporting the Gulf Area Office with her expertise on climate change. In such a role, she ensures the capacities of young people who are engaged in climate change are strengthened, enhancing coordination and facilitating their seat at the table. 

**She also works with the UNICEF MENA **regional office in facilitating the Technical Cohort on advancing young women and girls’ leadership on climate
change.

As Youth Lead for the Action Coalition on Feminist Action for Climate Justice (FACJ), she works with UN Women and the Generation Equality Campaign to push for recognizing the intersectionality of gender equality and climate justice in decision making spaces as well as at the grass roots level. 

**Ayshka is also the MENA Regional Lead for the Youth Climate Justice Fund**, to ensure flexible funding reaches emerging youth led organizing and to bridge build between funders and the youth climate movement as well as building capacity of your organizers to fundraise effectively.
